Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the added 0.17%.

The best performers of the session on the were Bindawood Holding Co (TADAWUL:), which rose 4.90% or 2.80 points to trade at 60.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Kathiri Holding Co (TADAWUL:) added 4.77% or 2.10 points to end at 46.10 and Development Works Food Co (TADAWUL:) was up 4.29% or 7.00 points to 170.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (TADAWUL:), which fell 3.37% or 0.46 points to trade at 13.18 at the close. Alamar Foods CJSC (TADAWUL:) declined 3.19% or 4.40 points to end at 133.60 and Tourism Enterprise Co. (TADAWUL:) was down 2.65% or 0.46 points to 16.92.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 123 to 114 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.31% or 0.25 to $80.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.42% or 0.36 to hit $85.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 9.05 to trade at $1,916.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.23% to 4.06, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.06.
