Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 0.37% to hit a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the were United Wire Factories Company (TADAWUL:), which rose 7.11% or 2.05 points to trade at 30.90 at the close. Meanwhile, National Gas & Industrialization Co (TADAWUL:) added 4.84% or 2.30 points to end at 49.85 and Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (TADAWUL:) was up 4.81% or 9.20 points to 200.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arabian Contracting Services Company CJSC (TADAWUL:), which fell 4.08% or 5.00 points to trade at 117.60 at the close. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (TADAWUL:) declined 3.88% or 10.20 points to end at 253.00 and Arabian Cement Co (TADAWUL:) was down 3.69% or 1.60 points to 41.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 118 to 109 and 8 ended unchanged.

Shares in Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (TADAWUL:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.81% or 9.20 to 200.60.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.80% or 0.85 to $107.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.02% or 1.14 to hit $112.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.09% or 21.50 to trade at $1,996.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.03% to 4.05, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.09% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.57.
