Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.39% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.39%, while the index fell 1.34%, and the index declined 0.99%.

The best performers of the session on the were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 1.62% or 0.67 points to trade at 42.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayer AG NA (ETR:) added 1.61% or 0.78 points to end at 49.20 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was up 1.56% or 0.50 points to 32.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which fell 5.51% or 1.12 points to trade at 19.20 at the close. Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) declined 4.76% or 2.14 points to end at 42.82 and Brenntag AG (ETR:) was down 3.03% or 1.74 points to 55.70.

The top performers on the MDAX were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which rose 2.69% to 55.45, Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was up 1.69% to settle at 33.11 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 1.42% to close at 24.98.

The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 13.13% to 5.99 in late trade, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 6.27% to settle at 54.16 and K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 5.76% to 19.88 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.20% to 19.70, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was up 2.95% to settle at 64.55 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which gained 2.14% to close at 95.30.

The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was down 4.76% to 42.82 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.57% to settle at 45.08 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 3.28% to 22.10 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 422 to 242 and 90 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vonovia SE (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.51% or 1.12 to 19.20. Shares in Brenntag AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.03% or 1.74 to 55.70. Shares in Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 13.13% or 0.90 to 5.99. Shares in LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.27% or 3.62 to 54.16. Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.57% or 2.16 to 45.08.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.22% to 31.42.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 8.35 to $1,677.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.45% or 2.19 to hit $87.16 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.07% or 1.95 to trade at $92.34 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 0.97, while EUR/GBP fell 1.10% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 113.30.
