Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.58% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index added 1.41%, and the index added 1.30%.

The best performers of the session on the were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which rose 4.01% or 1.48 points to trade at 38.38 at the close. Meanwhile, E.ON SE (ETR:) added 3.26% or 0.26 points to end at 8.17 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was up 2.81% or 3.00 points to 109.84 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (ETR:), which fell 0.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 35.70 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 0.49% or 0.28 points to end at 57.24 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was down 0.35% or 0.08 points to 22.62.

The top performers on the MDAX were Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.39% to 117.40, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was up 3.26% to settle at 62.64 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which gained 2.98% to close at 117.50.

The worst performers were Aurubis AG (ETR:) which was down 1.02% to 60.26 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which lost 0.61% to settle at 34.05 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was down 0.52% to 34.42 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.47% to 36.40, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was up 3.01% to settle at 102.80 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which gained 2.98% to close at 117.50.

The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.92% to 19.83 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 1.71% to settle at 40.20 and Suse SA (ETR:) which was down 0.12% to 16.85 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 487 to 187 and 75 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.36% to 28.20.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.90 to $1,654.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.65% or 0.55 to hit $84.50 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.23 to trade at $91.11 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 111.95.
