Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the rose 1.59% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index added 1.59%.

The best performers of the session on the were Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:), which rose 5.39% or 1.27 points to trade at 24.91 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) added 4.30% or 6.60 points to end at 160.05 and Engie SA (EPA:) was up 3.78% or 0.46 points to 12.68 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA:), which fell 2.24% or 0.74 points to trade at 32.02 at the close. Hermes International SCA (EPA:) declined 0.92% or 12.00 points to end at 1,292.00 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was down 0.45% or 0.11 points to 23.21.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:) which rose 5.39% to 24.91, Imerys SA (EPA:) which was up 4.97% to settle at 38.00 and Faurecia (EPA:) which gained 4.67% to close at 13.91.

The worst performers were Mcphy Energy (EPA:) which was down 4.15% to 12.81 in late trade, Renault SA (EPA:) which lost 2.24% to settle at 32.02 and Elis Services SA (EPA:) which was down 1.65% to 11.35 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 338 to 207 and 92 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 1.40 to $1,654.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.32% or 0.27 to hit $84.78 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $91.36 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 111.96.
