Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the fell 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the were Almarai Company (TADAWUL:), which rose 5.86% or 3.10 points to trade at 56.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:) added 4.44% or 2.90 points to end at 68.20 and Alamar Foods CJSC (TADAWUL:) was up 4.34% or 6.60 points to 158.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:), which fell 4.01% or 0.68 points to trade at 16.26 at the close. Saudi Industrial Investment Group (TADAWUL:) declined 3.27% or 0.78 points to end at 23.10 and Arab National Bank (TADAWUL:) was down 3.15% or 0.85 points to 26.10.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 144 to 95 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in Alamar Foods CJSC (TADAWUL:) rose to all time highs; up 4.34% or 6.60 to 158.60.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.71% or 2.17 to $77.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.26% or 1.96 to hit $84.65 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 5.15 to trade at $1,868.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.23% to 4.03, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 103.07.
