Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 0.41%.

The best performers of the session on the were Nama Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:), which rose 8.69% or 2.95 points to trade at 36.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:) added 7.46% or 3.35 points to end at 48.25 and Al ELM Information Security Company CJSC (TADAWUL:) was up 5.89% or 19.60 points to 352.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Al Hammadi Co (TADAWUL:), which fell 4.86% or 2.05 points to trade at 40.15 at the close. BANK ALBILAD (TADAWUL:) declined 4.78% or 2.15 points to end at 42.80 and Alinma Tokio Marine Co (TADAWUL:) was down 3.61% or 0.48 points to 12.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 164 to 71 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Alinma Tokio Marine Co (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.61% or 0.48 to 12.80.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.29% or 1.00 to $76.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.99% or 0.82 to hit $81.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.51% or 27.45 to trade at $1,791.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.36% to 4.03, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 103.27.
