Investing.com – Ormat reported on Wednesday third quarter that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.
Ormat announced earnings per share of $0.33 on revenue of $175.9M. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.27 on revenue of $167.69M.
Ormat shares are up 17.79% from the beginning of the year, still down 10.25% from its 52 week high of $98.47 set on September 21.
Ormat follows other major Utilities sector earnings this month
Ormat’s report follows an earnings beat by NextEra Energy on Friday, who reported EPS of $0.85 on revenue of $6.72B, compared to forecasts EPS of $0.79 on revenue of $5.96B.
Southern had beat expectations on October 27 with third quarter EPS of $1.35 on revenue of $8.38B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.3 on revenue of $6.84B.
