Investing.com — U.S. stocks extended their losses on renewed interest rate fears. Here are the midday movers for Aug. 30:
- Nikola Corp (NASDAQ:) stock fell 10% after it said it would issue $400 million new shares at market prices.
- Bed Bath & Beyond Inc (NASDAQ:) shares fell 6% a day ahead of the company’s presentation on its strategic plan as the home goods retailer tries to execute a turnaround.
- Peloton Interactive Inc (NASDAQ:) shares fell 7% after it said it was delaying the filing of its 10K annual report to regulators because it needed more time to do accounting for strategic business developments.
- Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE:) shares rose 2% after the electronics retailer maintained its forecast and posted better than expected . Same store sales did not deteriorate as much as analysts feared.
- Baidu Inc (NASDAQ:) shares fell 7% despite as revenue declined from the same quarter one year ago.
