Investing.com — U.S. stocks fell again on Monday on worries about a global recession. Here are the midday movers for Sept. 26:

  • Las Vegas Sands Corp (NYSE:) stock jumped 12%, as did shares of Wynn Resorts Limited (NASDAQ:), after China’s gambling hub Macau said it would open to group tours in November and would offer e-visas to visitors once again. MGM Resorts International (NYSE:) shares rose 1%.
  • Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:) shares rose 1.4% after the e-commerce giant announced a second sale for Prime members next month, with special offers on toys, electronics and other products as it tries to kick-start the holiday shopping season.
  • AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE:) shares fell 7.7% after reports the movie theater chain operator planned to sell as much as 425 million of its preferred APE shares.
  • Macy’s Inc (NYSE:) shares fell 3.5% after the department store operator said it would hire 41,000 workers for the holidays, about half as many as last year.
  • PG&E Corp (NYSE:) shares rose 1% after word the utility operator would be added to the next month, replacing Citrix Systems (NASDAQ:). Citrix shares were flat.
