Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.46% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.46% to hit a new 52-week low, while the index lost 0.40%, and the index fell 0.08%.

The best performers of the session on the were SAP SE (ETR:), which rose 2.23% or 1.81 points to trade at 82.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 2.10% or 0.24 points to end at 11.69 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.99% or 3.05 points to 156.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.36% or 1.35 points to trade at 38.80 at the close. Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) declined 2.63% or 0.48 points to end at 17.83 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was down 2.50% or 0.55 points to 21.45.

The top performers on the MDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which rose 6.95% to 20.00, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which was up 4.48% to settle at 161.95 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 2.33% to close at 422.00.

The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 4.20% to 36.99 in late trade, CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which lost 3.74% to settle at 42.26 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 3.35% to 19.49 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which rose 6.95% to 20.00, SAP SE (ETR:) which was up 2.23% to settle at 82.87 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 2.05% to close at 48.78.

The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 4.20% to 36.99 in late trade, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which lost 3.35% to settle at 19.49 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was down 2.63% to 17.83 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 395 to 291 and 71 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vonovia SE (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.50% or 0.55 to 21.45. Shares in Varta AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.20% or 1.62 to 36.99. Shares in CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.74% or 1.64 to 42.26. Shares in United Internet AG NA (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.35% or 0.68 to 19.49. Shares in Varta AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.20% or 1.62 to 36.99. Shares in United Internet AG NA (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.35% or 0.68 to 19.49.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.58% to 31.00 a new 1-month high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.36% or 22.55 to $1,633.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.74% or 2.16 to hit $76.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.76% or 2.35 to trade at $82.68 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.82% to 0.96, while EUR/GBP rose 0.85% to 0.90.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.98% at 114.07.
