Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 1.45%.

The best performers of the session on the were Nova (TASE:), which rose 0.23% or 70.00 points to trade at 30,820.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) added 0.20% or 30.00 points to end at 14,900.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:) was down 0.24% or 9.00 points to 3,820.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:), which fell 5.33% or 304.00 points to trade at 5,395.00 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:) declined 5.11% or 28.40 points to end at 528.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:) was down 3.03% or 215.00 points to 6,885.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 375 to 101 and 34 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.99% or 1.59 to $81.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.07% or 1.76 to hit $86.74 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 15.20 to trade at $1,922.20 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.79% to 3.42, while EUR/ILS rose 1.03% to 3.70.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 101.97.
