Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.72% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.72% to hit a new 52-week low, while the index lost 0.48%, and the index added 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 2.03% or 0.40 points to trade at 20.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:) added 1.18% or 0.35 points to end at 30.35 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was up 1.03% or 0.12 points to 11.81 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 4.28% or 0.36 points to trade at 8.13 at the close. E.ON SE (ETR:) declined 3.07% or 0.25 points to end at 7.82 and Brenntag AG (ETR:) was down 2.33% or 1.44 points to 60.34.

The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which rose 4.34% to 8.36, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 3.82% to settle at 23.36 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 2.09% to close at 25.40.

The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 4.60% to 2.18 in late trade, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.75% to settle at 49.05 and Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 3.65% to 35.64 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which rose 7.83% to 58.55, TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was up 4.34% to settle at 8.36 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.29% to close at 18.50.

The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 3.65% to 35.64 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which lost 3.00% to settle at 19.40 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.56% to 354.10 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 409 to 276 and 72 ended unchanged.

Shares in E.ON SE (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.07% or 0.25 to 7.82. Shares in Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.60% or 0.11 to 2.18. Shares in Varta AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.65% or 1.35 to 35.64. Shares in Varta AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.65% or 1.35 to 35.64.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.68% to 31.52 a new 1-month high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 2.95 to $1,636.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.93% or 1.48 to hit $78.19 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.02% or 1.67 to trade at $84.53 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 0.96, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.90.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 114.34.
