Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.92%, while the index gained 1.16%, and the index added 1.28%.

The best performers of the session on the were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.82% or 1.60 points to trade at 43.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) added 3.42% or 1.89 points to end at 57.14 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.98% or 11.20 points to 387.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which fell 0.97% or 0.49 points to trade at 49.73 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 0.80% or 0.17 points to end at 21.09 and RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.36% or 0.14 points to 38.71.

The top performers on the MDAX were Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which rose 5.14% to 22.90, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.99% to settle at 109.50 and K&S AG (ETR:) which gained 3.95% to close at 21.07.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 2.48% to 19.70 in late trade, Encavis AG (ETR:) which lost 1.99% to settle at 18.72 and HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 1.95% to 22.57 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which rose 4.93% to 100.00, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 3.78% to settle at 26.36 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.73% to close at 8.57.

The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 4.84% to 22.22 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which lost 2.48% to settle at 19.70 and Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 1.37% to 31.63 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 452 to 223 and 73 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.16% to 28.58.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.49% or 8.20 to $1,655.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.00% or 1.69 to hit $82.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 1.29 to trade at $90.33 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 111.99.
