Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.04%, while the index added 0.06%, and the index gained 0.38%.

The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 2.68% or 0.41 points to trade at 15.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) added 2.19% or 0.54 points to end at 25.22 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 1.50% or 0.43 points to 29.09 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:), which fell 2.27% or 1.18 points to trade at 50.84 at the close. Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.87% or 2.62 points to end at 137.14 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was down 0.86% or 0.20 points to 23.16.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 8.07% to 47.14, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.67% to settle at 16.51 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 3.24% to close at 606.00.

The worst performers were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 3.44% to 59.50 in late trade, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which lost 2.81% to settle at 193.75 and K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 1.57% to 20.64 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 8.07% to 47.14, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.67% to settle at 16.51 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.99% to close at 15.15.

The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was down 2.27% to 50.84 in late trade, Suse SA (ETR:) which lost 1.37% to settle at 18.73 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was down 1.19% to 12.01 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 351 to 301 and 106 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.45% to 20.41 a new 6-months low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.25% or 4.35 to $1,744.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 4.34% or 3.51 to hit $77.44 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 4.10% or 3.62 to trade at $84.74 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 106.36.
