Barclays announces new Chief Operating Officer By Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) – Barclays (LON:) announced a reshuffle of its executive committee on Wednesday, with Chief Operating Officer Mark Ashton-Rigby stepping down from the role.

He will be replaced by Alistair Currie, who currently heads the lender’s consumer banking and payments business, the British bank said.

Currie in turn will be replaced in that role by Vim Maru, who joins from Lloyds Banking Group (LON:).
