Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the lost 0.79%.

The best performers of the session on the were Al Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co SJSC (TADAWUL:), which rose 10.00% or 1.34 points to trade at 14.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:) added 9.07% or 1.36 points to end at 16.36 and Alujain Corporation (TADAWUL:) was up 8.18% or 3.70 points to 48.95 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Mulkia Gulf Real Estate REIT (TADAWUL:), which fell 3.69% or 0.31 points to trade at 8.09 at the close. Mouwasat Medical Services Company (TADAWUL:) declined 3.48% or 7.60 points to end at 211.00 and The Qassim Cement Co (TADAWUL:) was down 3.47% or 2.60 points to 72.40.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 130 to 103 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in Mulkia Gulf Real Estate REIT (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.69% or 0.31 to 8.09. Shares in The Qassim Cement Co (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.47% or 2.60 to 72.40.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.98% or 1.78 to $88.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.50% or 1.44 to hit $94.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.47% or 24.30 to trade at $1,625.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.55% to 3.67, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.34% at 112.72.
