Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the lost 0.18%.

The best performers of the session on the were Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:), which rose 8.41% or 5.60 points to trade at 72.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Dur Hospitality (TADAWUL:) added 5.85% or 1.26 points to end at 22.80 and Methanol Chemicals Company (TADAWUL:) was up 4.27% or 1.10 points to 26.85 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alinma Bank (TADAWUL:), which fell 4.05% or 1.35 points to trade at 32.00 at the close. The Qassim Cement Co (TADAWUL:) declined 3.55% or 2.70 points to end at 73.30 and Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co (TADAWUL:) was down 2.96% or 5.20 points to 170.40.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 151 to 86 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.65% or 1.33 to $81.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.35% or 1.16 to hit $87.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 15.35 to trade at $1,925.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.74% to 4.08, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 101.46.
