Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the added 1.87%.

The best performers of the session on the were Tanmiah Food Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.86% or 10.20 points to trade at 113.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Arabian Drilling Co (TADAWUL:) added 9.61% or 9.80 points to end at 111.80 and Nama Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:) was up 8.32% or 2.60 points to 33.85 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (TADAWUL:), which fell 9.96% or 8.50 points to trade at 76.80 at the close. Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (TADAWUL:) declined 3.92% or 4.20 points to end at 103.00 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:) was down 3.10% or 0.27 points to 8.43.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 192 to 51 and 10 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.96% or 8.50 to 76.80.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.39% or 1.75 to $74.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.40% or 1.87 to hit $79.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 2.10% or 37.55 to trade at $1,829.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 1.16% to 4.01, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.04% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.43% at 103.27.
