Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.28%, while the index added 0.56%, and the index added 0.70%.

The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:), which rose 1.64% or 2.250 points to trade at 139.330 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 1.56% or 0.560 points to end at 36.510 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) was up 1.49% or 0.137 points to 9.314 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.71% or 0.580 points to trade at 33.385 at the close. Deutsche Wohnen AG (DE:) declined 1.57% or 0.650 points to end at 40.710 and E.ON SE (DE:) was down 1.45% or 0.128 points to 8.708.

The top performers on the MDAX were Varta AG (DE:) which rose 5.08% to 167.600, Siemens Energy AG (DE:) which was up 3.22% to settle at 32.72 and Aurubis AG (DE:) which gained 2.87% to close at 70.220.

The worst performers were Cancom SE O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.32% to 56.050 in late trade, Hochtief AG (DE:) which lost 1.41% to settle at 76.95 and Uniper SE (DE:) which was down 1.32% to 29.820 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were LPKF Laser & Electronics (DE:) which rose 9.63% to 32.450, Varta AG (DE:) which was up 5.08% to settle at 167.600 and Drillisch AG (DE:) which gained 3.73% to close at 23.650.

The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.10% to 63.000 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:) which lost 1.73% to settle at 21.54 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.32% to 56.050 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 363 to 321 and 28 ended unchanged.

Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 1.56% or 0.560 to 36.510. Shares in Aurubis AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.87% or 1.960 to 70.220. Shares in LPKF Laser & Electronics (DE:) rose to all time highs; rising 9.63% or 2.850 to 32.450.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.10% to 22.35.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.71% or 13.00 to $1810.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.34% or 0.20 to hit $59.67 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.71% or 0.45 to trade at $62.85 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.2112, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8703.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 90.510.
