Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.67%, while the index added 0.48%, and the index gained 0.76%.

The best performers of the session on the were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which rose 6.51% or 1.24 points to trade at 20.20 at the close. Meanwhile, E.ON SE (ETR:) added 3.25% or 0.25 points to end at 7.87 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 3.00% or 0.25 points to 8.61 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which fell 1.60% or 0.80 points to trade at 49.00 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.31% or 0.32 points to end at 23.80 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was down 1.03% or 1.08 points to 104.16.

The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 8.28% to 6.21, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was up 6.04% to settle at 56.86 and Deutsche Wohnen AG (ETR:) which gained 5.18% to close at 18.07.

The worst performers were K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 4.96% to 19.73 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 4.07% to settle at 24.75 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.68% to 100.90 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.54% to 21.89, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.85% to settle at 8.15 and Varta AG (ETR:) which gained 3.60% to close at 30.20.

The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 4.07% to 24.75 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 2.67% to settle at 21.90 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 1.67% to 40.00 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 426 to 256 and 65 ended unchanged.

Shares in Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.68% or 3.85 to 100.90.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.77% to 29.68.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.71% or 28.70 to $1,648.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.07% or 3.63 to hit $85.48 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.26% or 3.08 to trade at $91.49 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 0.97, while EUR/GBP rose 0.89% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.88% at 113.24.
