Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the added 0.69% to hit a new 6-months high, while the index climbed 0.68%.

The best performers of the session on the were Hermes International SCA (EPA:), which rose 2.20% or 35.50 points to trade at 1,651.00 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) added 1.99% or 3.40 points to end at 173.85 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 1.95% or 0.55 points to 28.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (EPA:), which fell 3.81% or 0.56 points to trade at 14.22 at the close. Bouygues SA (EPA:) declined 3.01% or 0.93 points to end at 29.97 and Renault SA (EPA:) was down 1.45% or 0.55 points to 37.13.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Air France KLM SA (EPA:) which rose 5.99% to 1.50, Soitec SA (EPA:) which was up 3.40% to settle at 153.45 and BIC (EPA:) which gained 3.10% to close at 63.15.

The worst performers were Stellantis NV (EPA:) which was down 3.81% to 14.22 in late trade, Bouygues SA (EPA:) which lost 3.01% to settle at 29.97 and Mercialys SA (EPA:) which was down 2.21% to 10.16 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 323 to 227 and 83 ended unchanged.

Shares in Hermes International SCA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.20% or 35.50 to 1,651.00.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.12% or 21.30 to $1,920.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.53% or 1.20 to hit $79.59 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.86 to trade at $84.89 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.89.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 101.95.
