Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the rose 0.52%, while the index gained 0.54%.

The best performers of the session on the were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:), which rose 4.72% or 2.63 points to trade at 58.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:) added 3.38% or 0.87 points to end at 26.58 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) was up 2.63% or 1.00 points to 39.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sanofi SA (EPA:), which fell 0.88% or 0.80 points to trade at 89.93 at the close. Air Liquide SA (EPA:) declined 0.83% or 1.20 points to end at 143.64 and AXA SA (EPA:) was down 0.76% or 0.22 points to 28.04.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Faurecia (EPA:) which rose 4.94% to 17.84, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:) which was up 4.72% to settle at 58.37 and Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA:) which gained 4.09% to close at 103.10.

The worst performers were Ipsen SA (EPA:) which was down 1.72% to 99.95 in late trade, Arkema SA (EPA:) which lost 1.10% to settle at 91.34 and Edenred SA (EPA:) which was down 0.94% to 49.57 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 332 to 210 and 85 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.14% or 2.65 to $1,925.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.60% or 0.49 to hit $82.13 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.86 to trade at $88.49 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.86.
