Visa A Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q2

Investing.com – Visa (NYSE:) A reported on Tuesday second quarter that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Visa A announced earnings per share of $1.79 on revenue of $7.19B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.65 on revenue of $6.84B.

Visa A shares are down 10% from the beginning of the year, still down 20.39% from its 52 week high of $252.61 set on July 27, 2021. They are under-performing the S&P Global 100 which is down 7.96% from the start of the year.

Visa A shares gained 4.43% in after-hours trade following the report.

Visa A follows other major Information Technology sector earnings this month

Visa A’s report follows an earnings beat by Microsoft on Tuesday, who reported EPS of $2.22 on revenue of $49.36B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.19 on revenue of $49.01B.

Taiwan Semiconductor had beat expectations on April 14 with first quarter EPS of $1.35 on revenue of $16.94B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.27 on revenue of $16.73B.
