Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the fell 0.87% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were National Gas & Industrialization Co (TADAWUL:), which rose 3.94% or 2.30 points to trade at 60.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Seera Group Holding (TADAWUL:) added 3.69% or 0.64 points to end at 18.00 and The National Co for Glass Industrie (TADAWUL:) was up 3.01% or 1.20 points to 41.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:), which fell 6.49% or 0.82 points to trade at 11.82 at the close. Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:) declined 5.58% or 1.28 points to end at 21.66 and Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:) was down 5.45% or 1.08 points to 18.72.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 189 to 56 and 5 ended unchanged.

Shares in Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.58% or 1.28 to 21.66.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.15% or 0.13 to $86.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.99% or 2.86 to hit $92.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 6.75 to trade at $1,715.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.47% to 3.71, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.03% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.80% at 110.39.
