Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fujikura Ltd. (TYO:), which rose 5.72% or 59.00 points to trade at 1,091.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Eisai Co., Ltd. (TYO:) added 5.61% or 465.00 points to end at 8,753.00 and Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. (TYO:) was up 4.26% or 79.00 points to 1,932.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd. (TYO:), which fell 6.71% or 40.00 points to trade at 556.00 at the close. Recruit Holdings Co Ltd (TYO:) declined 6.67% or 327.00 points to end at 4,573.00 and Dentsu Inc. (TYO:) was down 5.96% or 280.00 points to 4,415.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2019 to 1541 and 248 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 2.17% to 19.87 a new 1-month low.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.27% or 0.23 to $85.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.09% or 0.08 to hit $93.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 4.60 to trade at $1,781.50 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was down 0.43% to 139.27, while EUR/JPY rose 0.15% to 144.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 106.19.
