Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:), which rose 2.70% or 1,560.00 points to trade at 59,400.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TASE:) added 1.93% or 820.00 points to end at 43,200.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was up 1.23% or 34.00 points to 2,808.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:), which fell 4.91% or 69.00 points to trade at 1,335.00 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE:) declined 3.41% or 212.00 points to end at 6,009.00 and Nova (TASE:) was down 2.52% or 730.00 points to 28,270.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 280 to 200 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.84% or 2.22 to $80.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.97% or 2.50 to hit $86.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.11% or 19.35 to trade at $1,767.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.43% to 3.45, while EUR/ILS rose 0.46% to 3.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.75.
