Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the gained 1.78%.

The best performers of the session on the were Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:), which rose 5.29% or 54.00 points to trade at 1,075.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:) added 4.48% or 75.00 points to end at 1,750.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) was up 4.19% or 147.00 points to 3,653.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nice Ltd (TASE:), which fell 0.85% or 620.00 points to trade at 72,010.00 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:) declined 0.71% or 890.00 points to end at 125,000.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was down 0.63% or 17.00 points to 2,695.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 251 to 229 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.85% or 0.68 to $79.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.97% or 0.84 to hit $85.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 7.10 to trade at $1,922.30 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.56% to 3.46, while EUR/ILS rose 0.54% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 101.92.
