Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 1.40%.

The best performers of the session on the were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:), which rose 6.00% or 392.00 points to trade at 6,930.00 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:) added 5.41% or 43.30 points to end at 844.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:) was up 4.79% or 64.00 points to 1,400.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:), which fell 1.06% or 46.00 points to trade at 4,281.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) declined 0.84% or 30.00 points to end at 3,528.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 173,280.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 296 to 195 and 34 ended unchanged.

Shares in Liveperson (TASE:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.06% or 46.00 to 4,281.00.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.51% or 1.79 to $117.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.02% or 1.23 to hit $119.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 9.75 to trade at $1,823.25 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.43% to 3.45, while EUR/ILS fell 0.62% to 3.59.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 105.31.
