Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 1.59%, while the index lost 3.32%, and the index lost 3.02%.

The best performers of the session on the were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.88% or 1.20 points to trade at 42.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) added 0.64% or 1.70 points to end at 267.00 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:) was up 0.41% or 0.26 points to 63.34 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 8.33% or 2.01 points to trade at 22.12 at the close. HelloFresh SE (ETR:) declined 6.82% or 1.85 points to end at 25.27 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 5.01% or 1.30 points to 24.63.

The top performers on the MDAX were Encavis AG (ETR:) which rose 3.05% to 22.27, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 0.63% to settle at 54.72 and Fraport AG (ETR:) which unchanged 0.00% to close at 45.30.

The worst performers were Uniper SE (ETR:) which was down 8.66% to 4.86 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 7.88% to settle at 53.76 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 7.66% to 46.17 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 0.84% to 19.85, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 0.76% to settle at 53.00 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which lost 0.48% to close at 2.51.

The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.88% to 53.76 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which lost 7.49% to settle at 117.35 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 6.42% to 99.20 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 543 to 128 and 89 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.38% or 24.10 to $1,716.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.63% or 2.31 to hit $85.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.74% or 2.58 to trade at $91.42 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 1.15% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.08% at 109.26.
