Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.78% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.78% to hit a new 3-months high, while the index added 1.63%, and the index added 0.87%.

The best performers of the session on the were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which rose 5.74% or 1.33 points to trade at 24.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 4.13% or 0.64 points to end at 16.13 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was up 3.53% or 1.30 points to 38.12 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Munich Reinsurance (ETR:), which fell 0.67% or 2.00 points to trade at 295.80 at the close. Airbus Group SE (ETR:) declined 0.44% or 0.50 points to end at 113.26 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:) was down 0.43% or 0.75 points to 173.40.

The top performers on the MDAX were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 6.76% to 63.52, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.09% to settle at 17.35 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which gained 4.76% to close at 2.62.

The worst performers were GEA Group AG (ETR:) which was down 0.45% to 39.78 in late trade, Stabilus (ETR:) which lost 0.24% to settle at 62.75 and CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which was down 0.17% to 58.60 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.09% to 17.35, Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.94% to settle at 30.16 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which gained 2.34% to close at 113.60.

The worst performers were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was down 4.68% to 78.40 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 2.63% to settle at 22.20 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.28% to 14.81 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 440 to 215 and 102 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.44% to 20.50.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.55% or 9.65 to $1,755.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.26% or 0.20 to hit $78.14 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $85.39 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 105.73.
