Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.20% to hit a new all time high, while the index gained 1.16%, and the index climbed 1.65%.

The best performers of the session on the were Delivery Hero AG (DE:), which rose 3.90% or 4.05 points to trade at 107.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 3.62% or 1.188 points to end at 33.968 and Adidas AG (DE:) was up 3.07% or 8.90 points to 299.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (DE:), which fell 3.33% or 1.81 points to trade at 52.56 at the close. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:) declined 2.61% or 2.115 points to end at 78.960 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:) was down 1.98% or 1.77 points to 87.84.

The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (DE:) which rose 6.08% to 61.10, Aixtron SE (DE:) which was up 5.95% to settle at 18.113 and Varta AG (DE:) which gained 4.45% to close at 114.900.

The worst performers were Lanxess AG (DE:) which was down 4.73% to 63.985 in late trade, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:) which lost 3.56% to settle at 32.770 and Metro Wholesale & Food Specialist AG (DE:) which was down 2.74% to 9.5240 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (DE:) which rose 7.12% to 22.260, Aixtron SE (DE:) which was up 5.95% to settle at 18.113 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 5.73% to close at 61.850.

The worst performers were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which was down 1.29% to 2.365 in late trade, Freenet AG NA (DE:) which lost 0.39% to settle at 19.922 and Qiagen NV (DE:) which was down 0.31% to 40.140 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 404 to 284 and 68 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.56% to 20.19 a new 52-week low.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.01% or 0.20 to $1721.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.08% or 1.34 to hit $65.78 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.22% or 1.51 to trade at $69.41 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.1986, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8573.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 91.427.
