Dow futures tick lower, CPI in focus By Investing.com

Investing.com – U.S. stock futures were trading lower during Sunday’s evening deals, after major benchmark averages closed out the previous week with significant losses as investors look ahead to fresh data set for release later in the week.

By 6:35pm ET (11:35pm GMT) fell 0.1%, were down 0.2% and fell 0.3%.

Ahead in the week, market participants will be closely monitoring January’s and index, , , business and , , index as well and prices. Investors will also be paying attention to speeches from , , , , and .

On the earnings front, major companies including Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:), Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ:), Paramount Group Inc (NYSE:) and Deere & Company (NYSE:) are set to report results throughout the week.

During Friday’s regular trade, the added 169.4 points or 0.5% to 33,869.3, the added 8.9 points or 0.2% to 4,090.5 and the lost 71.5 points or 0.6% to 11,718.1. For the week, the Dow remained unchanged while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq lost 0.7% and 1.5% respectively.

 On the bond markets, rates were at 5-week highs of 3.742%.
