Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the gained 0.83%.

The best performers of the session on the were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:), which rose 1.98% or 3.44 points to trade at 177.50 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:) added 1.58% or 2.60 points to end at 166.70 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:) was up 1.46% or 12.10 points to 842.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:), which fell 1.59% or 14.40 points to trade at 892.60 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:) declined 1.39% or 12.20 points to end at 863.20 and Orsted A/S (CSE:) was down 0.41% or 2.60 points to 625.70.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 63 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.03% or 3.26 to $77.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.76% or 3.32 to hit $85.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 4.25 to trade at $1,744.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.62% to 7.17, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.84% at 106.22.
