Investing.com – Colgate-Palmolive (NYSE:) reported on Friday third quarter that matched analysts’ forecasts and revenue that fell short of expectations.

Colgate-Palmolive announced earnings per share of $0.74 on revenue of $4.46. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.74 on revenue of $4.48B.

Colgate-Palmolive shares are down 14% from the beginning of the year, still down 14.46% from its 52 week high of $85.61 set on January 6.

Colgate-Palmolive follows other major Consumer Staples sector earnings this month

Colgate-Palmolive’s report follows an earnings beat by Procter&Gamble on October 19, who reported EPS of $1.57 on revenue of $20.6B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.56 on revenue of $20.37B.

Coca-Cola had beat expectations on Tuesday with third quarter EPS of $0.69 on revenue of $11.1B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.64 on revenue of $10.53B.
