Shell, Peloton Interactive, Constellation Brands and More By Investing.com

Investing.com — Stocks traded lower on Thursday as investors awaited the government’s jobs report for September. Here are the market movers for Oct. 6:

  • Shell PLC ADR (NYSE:) shares fell 3.9% after the oil major said third-quarter results would be affected by lower profit from trading. It’s also seeing higher costs to deliver fuel.

  • Peloton Interactive Inc (NASDAQ:) shares rose 4% after the exercise bike maker said it will cut another 500 jobs as it attempts a business turnaround.

  • Constellation Brands Inc (NYSE:) shares fell 1.2% after the spirits company for profit and revenue. It did decide to sell some wine operations to California-based Wine Group.

  • General Electric Company (NYSE:) shares fell 1.7% after it said it was shedding about 20% of its onshore wind workers, which could amount to hundreds of jobs.

  • Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:) shares fell 0.2% after the e-commerce giant said it would hire 150,000 seasonal workers, about the same number of people it hired last holiday season.
