Why
can't I see rates/charts on FOREXTrader?

Several reasons could explain
why you are unable to see rates/charts on FOREXTrader:
1. Clear the JAR Cache
-
Click on the START
Button
-
Click on SETTINGS
(Windows 98/2000 Only)
-
Click on CONTROL PANEL
-
Click on CLASSIC VIEW
-
Click on the JAVA PLUGIN
Icon
-
Click on the "CACHE"
tab, then click on "CLEAR CACHE"
-
Click "OK"
2. Firewall Modification
If you have a firewall that restricts traffic over certain
ports, you need to modify it to allow traffic on the
following ports via TCP:
1000, 1999, 2020, 3020
(Click
here if you need destination addresses and protocols)
Corporate Users: Most corporate users access the
internet through a firewall. This is most likely the reason
you cannot see rates. Contact your network administrator if
you wish to access our trading software via your corporate
network.
Also, certain Internet Security programs have firewall
functionality as well, and can be the cause of rates not
being seen.
Please note, we do not support operation behind a proxy at
this time.
3. Download FOREXTrader software (Java)
Before installing a supported version of Java, please remove
any existing version(s) of the Java Runtime Environment from
your PC. You can do this by going to the Control Panel,
clicking on Add/Remove Programs and uninstalling Java from
there. The platform may not function correctly if there are
multiple versions of Java coexisting on your PC.
We currently recommend version 1.4.2_10 of the Java Runtime
Environment, which can be downloaded below.
Step 1: Click on the link:
Install the Java Runtime Environment
(JRE)
Step 2: Click 'Run'
Step 3: Click 'Next'
each time you are prompted, until the process is finished.
For more detailed step-by-step installation directions, use
this
guide.
Once you have successfully installed the JRE, go to the
login page and log into the
trading platform.

Why can't I log in to
FOREXTrader.web? I enter my User ID and password and click
"Login" but nothing happens.

You may have a pop up blocker
installed. FOREXTrader.web launches itself into a new

pop-up blocker is turned on by default but can easily be
disabled for a trusted site.
To access FOREXTrader.web with a pop up blocker
installed, you must either:
-
Add FOREXTrader.web's
addresses to your list of Allowed/Trusted Sites
-
Temporarily Bypass the Pop Up
Blocker
Please choose your Pop Up
Blocker or Browser type from the list below and follow the
instructions:
Internet Explorer

I can't
see my rates in the FOREXTrader.web platform?

Several reasons could explain
why you are not receiving rates on FOREXTrader.web:

you should be able to see rates. If you do not get this
box, please continue onto step 2.
2. Install the Microsoft Virtual Machine (VM)
The Microsoft VM is necessary to receive our rates; it is a
software component that comes with earlier versions of
Windows, but has been omitted from later versions. To
install it, click on this link:
Click here to install Microsoft VM
After the download, which takes about 1 minute with a
broadband connection, click "Yes" to install the software.
You will then be prompted to restart your machine. If you
see the box labeled in the screenshot above, but still don't
get rates, continue onto step 3.

to v5.0 or later
To check your version of Internet Explorer, Click on
Help/About Internet Explorer. The browser version will be on
the first line.
